Answer:

Q = 5000 J

t = 20 K

Heat capacity C' = Q/t

C' = 5000/20

C' = 250 J/K

Hope it helps you dear.....

Given :

➳ Heat energy = 4500J

➳ Raise in temperature = 15°C

To Find :

⟶ Heat capacity of iron ball.

SoluTion :

➢ Heat capacity of substance is defined as the heat requires to raise its temperature of body by 1°C/1K .

Mathematically,

\dag\:\boxed{\bf{H_c=\dfrac{Q}{\Delta T}}}

  • Hc denotes heat capacity
  • Q denotes heat energy
  • ΔT denotes change in temperature

➢ SI unit : J/°C or J/K

:\implies\tt\:H_c=\dfrac{Q}{\Delta T}

:\implies\tt\:H_c=\dfrac{4500}{15}

:\implies\boxed{\bf{H_c=300\:J\degree C^{-1}}}
