 \underline \mathbb{SOLUTION}

✨The volume of the rod =

\pi \times (1 \div 2) {}^{2}  \times 8cm {}^{3}  = 2\pi \: cm {}^{3}

length \: of \: new \: wire \: of \: same \: volume \:  = 18m \:  = 1800cm

\pi \times r {}^{2}  \times  \times 1800 = 2\pi

r {}^{2}  = 1 \div 900

r = 1 \div 30

✨Hence,

DIAMETER OF CROSS SECTION,THE THICKNESS OF THE WIRE IS 1÷15 CM .I.E.0.67 mm.

Answer:

\small\underline{\underline{\texttt{\orange{Thickness of wire =}}}}2r =  \frac{1}{15} cm \\

step by step instructions :-

<font color =brown>

r =  \frac{1}{2} cm \: l = 8cm \\ length \: of \: wire \:  = 18m \times 1800cm \\ r \binom{1}{2}  {}^{2}  \times 8 = \pi \times n {}^{2}  \times 1800 \\ r {}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{900}  =  > r =  \frac{1}{30}
