A copper wire is double on it. What change in resistance of wire you expect.

the resistance will reduce because the surface area would increase so surface area is inversely proportional to resistance of material

If the length of the wire gets doubled then the resistance will also gets doubled, because resistance is directly proportional to the length of the conductor.
