Given :     A COUNTRY’S ENVIRONMENT GROUP ESTIMATES THAT THE

COUNTRY HAS RAIN FOREST COVER OF 30,00,000 SQ. KM.

ANOTHER COUNTRY HAS A RAIN FOREST OF THE SIZE 610 SQ.  KM ,

To Find :  ESTIMATE HOW MANY TIMES BIGGER IS THE FORMER  COUNTRY’S RAIN FOREST THAN THE LATTER ONE

Solution:

COUNTRY HAS RAIN FOREST COVER OF 30,00,000 SQ. KM.

ANOTHER COUNTRY HAS A RAIN FOREST OF THE SIZE 610 SQ.  KM ,

=> FORMER  COUNTRY’S RAIN FOREST THAN THE LATTER ONE Time bigger

= 30,00,000 / 610

= 30,00,000 /600

= 30,000/6

= 5,000  times

Exact  30,00,000 / 610  ≈ 4,918 times
