A couple with a new-born baby is troubled that the child does not resemble either of them.
Suspecting that mixed up occurred in hospital, they checked up the blood type of the infant
.It is type “O”. Because father is type “A” and mother is type “B”, They conclude that the mixup has definitely occurred. Are they correct? Give reason for your answer?

Answer:

No, they are not correct

Because a parent with A blood group can have 2 genotype ie, IA IA and IA IO, Similarly parent with B blood have IB IB and IB IO

so when we cross these parents we'll get A, B, AB and O.

Now we can conclude that the couple are wrong, no mixup occur and they have O blood child.
