A courtedyard 25 m long and 12 m broad is to be laid with brick of length 20 cm and breadth 10 cm . How many number of bricks are required?

Length of courtyard=25m=2500cm
Breadth of courtyard=12m=1200cm
Area of courtyard=LENGTH×BREADTH
=2500×1200sq cm
=3000000sq cm
Length of a brick=20cm
Breadth of a brick=10cm
Area of brick=LENGTH×BREADTH
=20×10 sq cm
=200sq cm
Number of bricks=3000000 sq cm/200 sq cm
=15000
