Answer:

480 mangoes

Step-by-step explanation:

This is requires Analytical Skills.

For easy explanation and understanding, let's NOT go through the order in which the information in the question is given.

3 out of 4 bruised mangoes are 'un-salable'.

Total number of 'un-salable' mangoes= 12

=> 12/3 = 4 groups of 'un-salable' mangoes, each containing 3 'un-salable' mangoes and 1 bruised mango.

∴ Since 3 out of 4 bruised mangoes are 'un-salable', the total number of bruised mangoes :

=> 3×4+1×4 ( because there are 4 groups)

=> 16 bruised mangoes

1 bruised mango for every 30 mangoes in the crate, so:

=> 30 × (16/1)( because each set of 30 mangoes contains one bruised mango)

=> 480 mangoes
