A cricket ball of mass 0.2 kg is moves with a velocity 20m/s and is brought to rest by a player in 0.1 sec. Find

i. The impulse of the ball

ii. The average force applied by the player.

 Impulse=change in momentum

I=mv-mu = m(v-u) = 0.2(0-20) = -4 Ns

force= impulse/time = -4/0.1= -40N
