A cricket ball of mass 70 gram moving with a velocity of 0.5 m/s is stopped by a player in 0.5 seconds. What is the force exerted by the player to stop it?

F = ma

F = m(v-u)/t

F = 0.07(0-0.5)/0.5 [since the ball is caught by the player,final velocity= 0]

F = 0.07 × -0.5/0.5

F = 0.07 × -1
