So runs scored in first 10 innings = 10x

Runs scored in 11th inning = 108

Average after 11th inning is increased by 6 so average after 11th inning is x+6

Runs after 11th inning is 11(x+6)

as per the question,

10x + 108 = 11 (x+6)

10x + 108 = 11x + 66

x = 42

his old average is 42

new average is 42 + 6 = 48
