Lets assume the cricketer scored x runs previous IPL
This year he scores 253 runs
Which is 2/9 more than what he made last year

So
x+ (2/9)x=  253
or   x(1+ 2/9)=253
or  x(11/9)= 253
or  x=  (253*9)/11
or x=   207

Therefore the cricketer scored 207 runs last IPL :)))
