understanding the subject and predicate is the key to good sentence writting

PREDICATE - predicate is a part of a sentence that includes the verb and verb phrase.
EX-  the boys went to the zoo-- here ' went  to the zoo ' is the predicate.

SUBJECT- the subject  of a complete sentence is who or what  the sentence is about,

EX- the dog ran after the cat  -- here ' dog ' is the subject.

hope it helps!!!
