Given that

Lateral surface area of cube is

64 {m}^{2}

To find

Total surface area of cube

Solution

As we know that

lateral \: surface \: area \: of \: cube = 4 \times  {a}^{2}

where a is side of cube hence

64 = 4 \times  {a}^{2}

 {a}^{2}  =  \frac{64}{4}

by dividing we get

 {a}^{2}  = 16

as here 16 is the square of 4 hence

a = 4m

then

total \: surface \: area \: of \: cube = 6 \times  {a}^{2}

total \: surface \: area \: of \: cube = 6 \times  {4}^{2}

by multiplication we get

total \: surface \: area \: of \: cube = 96 {m}^{2}

Hence Total surface area of cube is

96 {m}^{2}
