Solution :-

As , we know that, a cube has six Faces.

Given that, 1 out of six faces is painted yellow.

So,

The cube lands on the yellow face when the cube is rolled once is one of six possibilities as = ( Possible outcome) /(Total outcome) = 1/6 .

Therefore,

Each possibility of rolling the cube is equal :- all 5 without color facses as well as face with yellow color , all six have equal chances of success.

Hence,

The expected Number of times that it lands on the yellow face = (1/6) of 240 = (1/6) * 240 = 40 Times. (Ans.)
