so,
→ volume of cube = (Edge)³ = (11)³ = 1331 cm³.
also, given,
→ the dimension of the base of the vessel are 15 * 12cm .
Let us assume that the rise in the level of water in the vessel is upto height h cm.
we know that,
- Volume of cube = Volume of water rises .
- volume of cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height
therefore,
→ 15 * 12 * h = 1331
→ 180h = 1331
→ h = (1331/180)
→ h = 7.39 ≈ 7.4 cm . (Ans.)
Hence, The rise in water level to height of 7.4 cm.
