The edge of given cube = 9 cm
The volume will be 729 cube cm.
Let the rise in water level be 'a' cm
The volume of the cube = the volume of water displaced by it.
15cm multiply 12 multiply a cm
729 = 15 multiply 12 multiply a
a = 729 /180
a 4.05
The rise in water level is 4.05 cm

Answer:  The rise in water level in the vessel is 4.05 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: edge of cube = 9 cm

dimensions of rectangular vessels is length: l = 15cm breadth; b= 12cm and height; h = h cm

Now he cube is immersed completely in the rectangular vessel

Now as we know

volume of cube = volume of liquid displaced( volume of cuboid)

a^3= l\times b\times h\\\\\Rightarrow 9\times 9\times 9 = 15\times 12 \times h\\\\\Rightarrow h= \dfrac{9\times 9\times 9}{15\times 12} = 4.05 cm

Hence, the rise in water level in the vessel is 4.05 cm
