Pressure = Force / Area
= mg / A
= (1 kg × 10 m/s²) / (10⁻⁴ m²)
= 10⁵ pascals

Pressure exerted by block on the table is 10⁵ pascals

Answer: 10^5 pascals or N/m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Mass of the cube, m = 1 kg

The area = 1 cm x 1 cm

               = 1 cm^2

               = 1 *(1/100 m)^2

               = 1/10000 m^2

Thrust = F = m x g

           =1 kg x 10 m/s^2

           =10 N

Pressure = Thrust/area

               =10/1/10000

               =10 x 10000

               = 100000 N/m^2

               = 100000 pascal

So the pressure exerted is 100000 pascals or 10^5 pascal
