The side of the cube is given to be 4 cm

So, the volume of the cube = (side)³

                                             = 4³

                                            = 64 cm³

Now, it is given that it contains a sphere touching its side

So, the diameter of the sphere will be 4 cm

So, radius of the sphere will be 2 cm

Volume of sphere = (4/3)πr³

                             = (4/3) × 3.14 × 2³

                             = (4/3) × 3.14 × 8

                            = 33.49 cm³

We have to find the volume of the gap

Volume of gap = volume of cube - volume of sphere

                         = 64 - 33.49

                         = 32.51 cm³

Hence, the volume of the gap will be 32.51 cm³
