vol. of cube = a3

=4×4×4 = 64

as the sphere touches the 4 sides of the

square hence its -

diameter =4cm

radius =2cm

vol . of sphere =4/3 ×22/7 × 2×2×2

= 88 × 8/21

=704/21

=33.52

hence ,

required gap ;

vol. of cube -vol . of sphere

  • 64 - 33.51 = 30.59 cm3
