A cube of side 4cm is cut into cube of side 1cm.Find ratio of
i)volume of big cube to volume of all small cubes.
ii)total surface area of big cube to total surface are of all small cubes.

Hint:
Volume of cube=a^3 cubic units.
Total surface area of cube=6a^2.​

Answer:

volume of the big cube

side =4cm

volume = 4x4x4

            = 64cm^3

volume of small cube

side =1cm

volume =1x1x1

            =1 cm^3

surface area of the big cube

side =4cm

surface area = 6x4x4

            = 96 cm^2

surface area of small cube

side =1cm

volume =6 x1x1

            =6 cm^2

i)volume of big cube to volume of all small cubes. = 64:1

ii)total surface area of big cube to total surface are of all small cubes. = 96:6=16:1...
