a cube of side length 8cm is immersed completely in a rectangular vessel containing water.if the base is 16cm long and 10cm wide, then,find the rise in water level in the vessel.​

Now when the cube is immersed in the water vessel, then it's height will raise.

Volume of the water raise is equal to volume of the cube.

Let the height of the water raise = X cm.

Therefore volume of water raise = X× 16×10 cc = 160X cm cube.

Now as per question,

160X = 512

X= (512/160) = 3.2 cm

Thus we get height of the water raise is 3.2 cm.
