Answer:

1. The Cubical Box has greater Lateral Surface Area by 92 sq.cm

2. The Cuboidal Box has smaller Total Surface Area by 140 sq.cm

Explanation:

Cubical Box

a = 12cm

Lateral Surface Area = 4a^2 = 4*12*12 = 576 sq.cm

Total Surface Area = 6a^2 = 6*12*12 = 864 sq.cm

Cuboidal Box

Length = 10cm

Breadth = 12cm

Height = 11cm

Lateral Surface Area = 2h(l+b) = 2*11 (10+12) =22*22 = 484 sq.cm

Total Surface Area = 2(lb+bh+hl) = 2 (10*12+12*11+11*10) =

2 (120+132+110) = 724 sq.cm

1. The Cubical Box has greater Lateral Surface Area by 92 sq.cm

2. The Cuboidal Box has smaller Total Surface Area by 140 sq.cm
