A cubical solid of metal has length, breadth and height as 40 cm , 30 cm and 25 cm respectively.
1 ) Find the volume of the solid cuboid
2) If this solid is melted and recasted into solid cubes each of side 5 cm find the no. of cubes found
3) find the total surface of all the cubes formed

We have l=40cm, b=30 cm and h=25
Volume of cuboid = l*b* h= 40*30*25= 30000 cm³
1. Volume of solid cuboid is 30000 cm³
Volume of solid cube= 5³= 125 cm³
No. of cube formed= vol. of cuboid/vol. of cube=30000/125= 240
2. No. of cube formed is 240.
Surface area of one cube= 6 * 5²= 150 cm²
3. Total surface area= 150*240=36000 cm²
