A cubical wooden box of internal edge 1m is made of 5 cm thick wood. The box is open
at the top. If the wood costs rupees 9600 per cubic metre, find the cost of the wood required to
make the box.​

Answer:

Internal edge =1m

Thickness of wood=5cm

External length=1m+10cm=1.1

Breadth =1m+10cm=1.1

Height =1m+5cm=1.05

Volume of the wood =outer-inner volume

=1.1*1.1*1.05-1*1*1

=1.2705-1.0000

=0.2705m³

Cost of wood 1m³= Rs9600

So,cost of 0.2705m³ =9600*0.2705 =Rs2596.80
