H = I^2 x R x T

= 1.5^2 x 8 x 10

= 180 j

Answer :-

180 J is the heat energy produced.

Explanation :-

Given :

Electric current (I) = 1.5 A

Resistance (R) = 8 Ω

Time (t) = 10 sec

To find :

Heat (u)

Solution :

From Ohm's law :

⇛ V = IR

⇛ V = 1.5 × 8

⇛ V = 12 V

Heat energy :

⇛ u = VIt

⇛ u = 12 × 1.5 × 10

⇛ u = 12 × 15

⇛ u = 180 J

∴ Heat energy produced is 180 J.
