A current of 1.6mA flows through a conductor. If charge on an electron is -1.6 x 10-19 coulomb, find the number of electrons that will pass each second through the cross section of that conductor.

q = i × t = 1.6 × 1 = 1.6 mC

no of electron = q / e

= 1.6 × 10^(-3) / { 1.6 × 10^(-19)}

= 10^(16)....
