Given :-

  • Current , I = 4 A
  • Resistance , R = 60 Ω
  • Time , t = 2 min = 2 × 60 seconds

TO FIND :-

  • Electrical energy (E)  consumed in 2 minutes .

SOLUTION :-

   We know that ,

    E = Pt

   

  •  Power = I²R

                     = 4 × 4 × 60

                     = 16 × 60

                    = 960 watt

  • Electrical energy , E = Pt

                                          = 960 × 2 × 60

                                          = 1920 × 60

                                          = 115200 J

 

 Alterative method to solve ,

  We know that ,

         H = I²Rt

   

  Electrical energy , E =  4 × 4  × 60 × 2 × 60

                                     = 32  × 3600

                                     = 115200 J
