total time taken= 3 hrs

total distance= 1 + 0.5 + 0.3 = 1.8 km

average speed = time total/ total distance = 3/1.8 = 0.6

therefore, 0.6 km/hr

And m/s = 0.6 x 5/18 = 2.16 m/s
