A cyclist travels a distance of 4km from P to Q and then he covers 3kh right angle to PQ. Find the resultant displacement.

Let the cyclist stop at point C after travelling 3 km from point Q. So if we will join point P and C then the resulting figure would be a triangle . So by using Pythagoras's theoram for a right angled triangle ABC such that AB^2 +BC^2 =AC^2 the answer to the following problem will be 5km.
