A cylinder drum of the radius 7cm and height 14cm find C.S.A, T.S.A and volume of the drum
Answers
Given :-
- Radius of cylindrical drum is 7 cm
- Height of cylindrical drum is 14 cm
To Find :-
- Curved surface area of cylindrical drum
- Total surface area of cylindrical drum
- Volume of cylindrical drum
Solution :-
~Here, we’re given the radius and height of a cylindrical drum and we need to find Curved Surface Area ( CSA ) , Total Surface area ( TSA ) and Volume of that cylindrical drum. We can easily find them by putting the values in their formulas.
____________
As we know that ,
✬ CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
✬ TSA of cylinder = 2πr( r + h )
✬ Volume of cylinder = πr²h
Where,
- h is height
- r is radius
- π is 22/7
____________
Finding the CSA :-
⟶ 2 × 22/7 × 7 cm × 14 cm
⟶ 2 × 22 × 1 cm × 14 cm
⟶ 44 × 1 cm × 14 cm
⟶ 616 cm²
Finding the TSA :-
⟶ 2 × 22/7 × 7 cm × ( 7 cm + 14 cm )
⟶ 2 × 22 × 1 cm × 21 cm
⟶ 44 × 1 cm × 21 cm
⟶ 924 cm²
Finding the volume :-
⟶ 22/7 × 7 cm × 7 cm × 14 cm
⟶ 22 × 1 cm × 7 cm × 14 cm
⟶ 2156 cm³
_____________
Hence,
》 CSA of cylinder is 616 cm²
》TSA of cylinder is 924 cm²
》 Volume of cylinder is 2156 cm³
Given :
- Radius of Cylinder drum = 7cm
- Height of Cylinderal Drum = 14cm
To Find :
- ⑴ C.S.A of cylinder drum
- ⑵ T.S.A of cylinder drum
- ⑶ Volume of cylinder drum
Solution :
Formula Used :
- CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
- TSA of cylinder = 2πr (h + r)
- Volume of cylinder = πr²h
⑴ CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
⟿ CSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 14
⟿ CSA of cylinder = 2 × 22 × 14
⟿ CSA of cylinder = 44 × 14
⟿ CSA of cylinder = 616cm²
⑵ TSA of cylinder = 2πr(h + r)
⟿ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 7 (7 + 14)
⟿ TSA of cylinder = 44 (7 + 14)
⟿ TSA of cylinder = 44 × 21
⟿ TSA of cylinder = 924cm²
⑶ Volume of cylinder = πr²h
⟿ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × (7)² × 14
⟿ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × 49 × 14
⟿ Volume of cylinder = 22 × 49 × 2
⟿ Volume of cylinder = 44 × 49
⟿ Volume of cylinder = 2156cm³
Therefore,
- CSA of cylinder is 616cm²
- TSA of cylinder is 924cm²
- Volume of cylinder is 2156cm³
