The  resultant air pressure in both the cylinders will 10.8 cm of Hg.

Step by step explanation:

According to the Boyle's law -

"At constant temperature the volume of a given mass of a dry gas is inversely proportional to its pressure".

                                       \bold{P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}}......................(1)

\bold{P_{1}}=?

\bold{V_{1}}=5L

\bold{P_{2}}=?

\bold{V_{2}}=30+5=35L

Substitute the values in equation (1)

                                   P_{1}\times\,5=P_{2}\times35

                                          P_{1}=7P_{2}

                                          P_{2}=\frac{76}{7}=10.8\,cm\,of\,Hg

Therefore, The  resultant air pressure in both the cylinders will 10.8 cm of Hg.

Hence,Correct answer is "a".
