The above calculation shows that Fe3+ has the zero crystal filed stabilization energy.

Option (B) is correct.

Explanation:

The CFSE octahedral complex is given by:

CFSE = [- 0.4 t2g e- + 0.6 ege-]

For Mn3+  , [ 3d^4] ---> t2g^3e^1 g

Therefore;

CFSE = [ - 0.4 x 3 + 0.6 x 1 ] = - 0.6

For Fe3+

[ 3d] --->  t2g^3e^2g

CFSE = [( -0.4 x 5 ) + ( 0.6 x 2) ] = 0

For Co2+ , [3d^7] ----> t2g^5e^2g

CFSE =[ ( -0.4) x 5 ) + (0.6 x 2] = - 0.8

Thus the above calculation shows that Fe3+ has the zero crystal filed stabilization energy.
