Given :- A cylinder, of an unknown height and diameter 4m, is full of water. All of the water in the cylinder is poured into an empty cube, with side length 3m. The cube is now 70% full. Calculate the height of the cylinder. Give your answer to 1 decimal place. ?
Solution :-
Let us assume that, height of cylinder is h m .
then,
→ Volume of cylinder = 70% of volume of cube with side 3m .
→ π * (radius)² * height = 70% of (side of cube)³
→ (22/7) * (2)² * h = (70/100) * (3)³
→ (88h/7) = (7 * 27)/10
→ h = (49 * 27) / (880)
→ h = 1.5 m . (Ans.)
Hence, height of cylinder will be 1.5m.
