and in case of cylinder it is zero .

Answer: The flux entering the cylinder at the circular face of one end leaves the other circular face without any distortion. But the flux itself cannot be 0.  The change in flux through the cylinder is 0 in true sense. On proper calculation the Answer would be PiR^2E.
