  • Volume of cylinder with radius R=\pi r^{2}h
  • Volume of cylinder with radius 4R=\pi (4r)^{2}h
  • The water level in the cylinder will rise as the cylinder will move down which means the volume of cylinder as goes down will increase the water level.
  • Rate of change of water level will be=\frac{\pi 16r^{2}h}{\pi r^{2}h}

                                                                     =16

  • Hence, the rate of change of water level is 16 units/second.
