fir the 1st conductor,

p = r \frac{a}{l}

for the 2nd conductor,

p = 0.5r \times   \frac{a2}{2.5l}  = 0.2 \times r  \frac{a2}{l}

here, same conductors were used in both cases,

so,

r \frac{a}{l}  =0.2 \times  r \frac{a2}{l} \\  > a = 0.2 \times a2

note: consider '2' of a2 as a subscript
