Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of the cylinder = 56cm

Radius of cylinder (r) = \dfrac{56}{2} = 28cm = 0.28m

Height of the cylinder (h) = 35m

Curved surface area (CSA) of the cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 0.28 \times 35

= 2 \times 22\times 0.28 \times 5

= 44 × 1.4

= 61.6m²

CSA of 1 pillar = 61.6m²

CSA of 16 pillars = 61.6 × 16 = 985.60

Cost of painting the curved surface area per m² = Rs.5.50

Cost of painting for 16 pillars = CSA of 16 pillars × Rate per m²

= 985.60 × 5.50

= 5420.80

Cost of painting the curved surface area of all the pillars = Rs. 5420.80

Given :-

  • A cylindrical piller had a diameter of 56 cm

  • Hight of cylinderical piller = 35 m

To find :-

  • Curved surface area of all the pillars at the rate of 5.50 rupees per 1m square

Solution :-

Diameter of the cylinder = 56cm

Radius of cylinder (r) = \dfrac{56}{2} = 28cm = 0.28m

Height of the cylinder (h) = 35m

Curved surface area (CSA) of the cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 0.28 \times 35

= 2 \times 22\times 0.28 \times 5

= 44 × 1.4

= 61.6m²

CSA of 1 pillar = 61.6m²

CSA of 16 pillars = 61.6 × 16 = 985.60m²

Cost of painting the curved surface area per m² = Rs.5.50

Cost of painting for 16 pillars = CSA of 16 pillars × Rate per m²

= 985.60 × 5.50

{\purple{\boxed{\large{\bold{ \:= 5420.80}}}}}

∴Cost of painting the curved surface area of all the pillars = Rs. 5420.80
