A cylindrical pipe empties a spherical tank full of water at the rate of 25/7 litres per second. How much time will it take to empty half of the tank if the radius of the tank is 3 meter?

radius of hemispherical tank = 3/2m

volume of tank = 2/3*22/7*3/2*3/2*3/2 = 99/14 m=99000/14L (1m3= 1000L)

half the tank = i.e 99000/14 * 1/2 = 99000/28 L

now,in 1 sec = 25/7 L of water is emptied

Required time

= 99000/28 / 25/7

= 99000/28 * 7/25

= 990 sec
