Answer:-

Given:

  • A cylindrical tube open at both ends

  • Radius of cylindrical tube = 10.4 cm

  • Length of tube = 21.2 cm

  • Thickness of tube = 8mm = 0.8cm

To Find:

  • Volume of tube

Formula Used:

▪︎Volume of hollow Cylinder = πh ( (r¹)² - (r²)²)

Where;

  • π = pi = 22/7
  • h = Height
  • r¹ = Radius¹
  • r² = Radius²

Solution:

Here,

Radius¹ = 10.4 cm

Finding Radius².

Radius²

= Radius¹ - Thickness

= 10.4 cm - 0.8 cm

= 9.6cm

Finding volume of cylindrical tube.

As, cylindrical tube open at both the side

Hence, it is a hollow cylcylinder

Volume of hollow cylinder

= πh ( (r¹)² - (r²)²)

= π×21.2 ( ( 10.4 )² - ( 9.6 )²)

= π × 21.2 × (108.16 - 92.16)

= (22/7) × 21.2 × 16

= (22/7) × 339.2

= (22 × 339.2)÷7

= 7462.4 ÷ 7

= 1066.0571428...

∴ Volume of tube is 1066.06 (approx.)
