A cylindrical vessel is partly filled with water.Its circular base is of radius 3.5cm. when a cuboidal stone of base area 14cm square is dropped into the vessel,the level of water is raised by 3cm .Find the height of given stone.​

Volume of stone = volume of water in cylindrical vessel.

14 \times h = \pi \times ( { \frac{7}{2} )}^{2}  \times 3 \\  \\  \\  \\ h =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times 3 \times  \frac{1}{14}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\ height \: of \: stone \:  = 8.24cm.
