A cylindrical vessel of diameter 9 cm has some water in it .a cylindrical iron piece of diameter 6 cm and height of 4.5 cl is dropped in it.After it was completely immersed ,find the rise in the level of water

the initial volume of cylindrical vessel = π (9/2)²h

the volume of cylindrical iron piece =  π3²(4.5)

Let the rise in the water level be R

Final volume of vessel = initial volume of vessel + volume of iron piece

⇒π (9/2)²(h + R) = π (9/2)²h + 39.5π

⇒(81/4)R =39.5π

 ⇒R = 6.13 cm
