A dealer bought a refrigerator for ₹11515. After allowing a discount of 16% on its marked price, he gains 20%. Find the marked price of the refrigerator.

Solutions :-

Cost Price = Rs 11515

Discount on its marked price = 16%

Profit % = 20%

Selling price = C.P + Profit% of C.P

= 11515 + 20% of 11515

= 11515 + 0.2 × 11515

= 11515 + 2303

= 13818

So,

Selling price = Rs 13818

Now,

Find the marked price of refrigerator :-

M.P = (S.P × 100)/(100 - discount)

= (13818 × 100)/(100 - 16)

= 1381800/84

= 16450

Hence,

The marked price of refrigerator is Rs 16450
