a dealer buys a bicycle for rupees 1250 and marks it at 40% above the cost price if he allows 8% discount filed selling price of the bicycle

Cp=1250

Mrp=cpx(100+above marked) /100

Mrp=1250x(100+40)/100

Mrp=1250x140/100

Mrp=125x14

Mrp=1750

Now he allows a discount of 8%

Then

Sp=mrpx(100-discount) /100


Sp=1750x(100-8)/100

Sp=1750x92/100

Sp=1610
