A dealer buys a bicycle for rupees 1250 and marks it at 40% above its cost price.if he allows 8% discount,find it marked price,selling price,his profit percent

CP of cycle = ₹1250

MP of cycle = 40 % of CP + CP

= 40/100 ×1250 +1250

= 500 + 1250

= ₹ 1750

MP of cycle = ₹ 1750


Discount % = 8%

Discount = Discount % /100 ×MP

= 8/100×1750

= 2/25×1750

= ₹140


SP of cycle = MP - Discount

= ₹ 1750 - ₹ 140

= ₹ 1610

PROFIT = SP- CP

= ₹1610 - ₹ 1250

= ₹ 360


PROFIT % = PROFIT / CP × 100%

= 360/1250×100

= 144/5%

= 72/5%
