Solution :-

Let the marked price of the electric fan be Rs. x

 Marked Price - Discount = Selling Price

Then, according to the question.

⇒ x - (x*9)/100 = 728

⇒ x/1 - 9x/100 = 728

Taking L. C. M. of the denominators and solving it.

⇒ (100x - 9x)/100 = 728

⇒ 91x/100 = 728

⇒91x = 72800

⇒ x = 72800/91

⇒ x = 800

So, the marked price of the electric fan is Rs. 800
