Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A dealer in Kanpur supplies goods worth Rs 5000 to a dealer in meerut then meerut dealer supplies to dealer of Delhi at a profit of 2000

So the cost of goods for Delhi dealer will be = 5000+2000

                                                                          = 7000

Gst rate in Delhi = 18%

Gst cost on goods = 7000×18/100

                               = 7000×9/50

                               = 1260

Total cost of goods in Delhi after Gst = 7000 + 1260

                                                                = 8260

Given : A dealer in U.P. supplies goods worth  Rs 5000 to a dealer in Meerut  (U.P.). The dealer in Meerut  suppliesthe same goods to a dealer in  Delhi at a profit of Rs 2000

To Find : cost of goods in Delhi as per GST  system

Solution:

Price = 5000

Merrut in UP Hence intra state transaction

SGST = CGST = GST/2 = 18/2 = 9 %

CGST = SGST = (9/100) * 5000  = Rs 450

Selling Price inclusive GST  = 5000 + 450 + 450 = 5900 Rs

Sold at profit of Rs 2000

interstate transaction UP & Delhi

Price  = 5000 + 2000 = Rs 7000

IGST = (18/100) *  7000 = Rs 1260

cost of goods in Delhi   = 7000 + 1260  = Rs 8260
