Monkeys in Our Home
Our house is on the top of a hill surrounded by preserved forests. We literally live in a heaven of nature. However, everything about it is not heavenly. If we lower our guard, we are in deep trouble. The only threat we face is from monkeys. They are so impudent, that they miss no opportunity to spoil our things. So we have to be very particular in locking our windows and doors.
One morning, a distant relative was visiting us. He had a wonderful stay with us. On weekend he suggested to go to the town to watch a newly released movie. Everyone in the family became excited. So, everyone got up ready. We locked the house and rushed to the town in quite excitedly. We had a wonderful time watching the movie, followed by dinner at a favorite restaurant.
In the evening we reached home; as soon as we opened the front door, we were in for a shock. Inside the house we saw hundreds of monkeys having the fun of their life. They were almost everywhere. Surely, one of the back doors or window had been left unbarred. My dad in anger shouted, “Who on earth decided to leave the back door open?”
