Assuming the cost of first scooter = x
Revenue from sale of first scooter = x + 6%of x = x + 0.06x = 1.06x

Cost of second scooter = 24000 - x
Revenue from sale of second scooter = (24000 - x) - 12% of (24000 - x)
                                                            = 24000 - x - 2880 + 0.12x
                                                            = 21120 - 0.88x

Revenue from sale of both scooters = Cost of both the scooters
1.06x + 21120 - 0.88x = 24000
0.18x = 2880
x = 16000

So the cost of scooters is 16000 and 8000
