A dealer purchased the fan for rupees 1080 . after allowing a discount of 25% on its Marked price, he gains 25%. find the Marked price of the fan.

S.P. = 1080 x 125 / 100 = Rs. 1350

Discount = 25 %

M.P. = S.P. x 100/( 100 - discount )

= 1350 x 100/75

= Rs. 1800

Given :

Cost Price = Rs 1080
Discount on its marked price = 25%
Profit % = 25%


Selling price = C.P + Profit% of C.P
= 1080 + 25% of 1080
= 1080 + 0.25 × 1080
= 1080 + 270
= 1350

So,
Selling price = Rs 1350

Now,
Find the marked price of fan :-

M.P = (S.P × 100)/(100 - discount)
= (1350 × 100)/(100 - 25)
= 135000/75
= 1800



Hence,
The marked price of fan is Rs 1800
