A defect of vision in which the points in one plane of an object appear in focus while those in another plane are out of focus is called ?


kvnmurty: the objects standing vertically and objects lying horizontally at the same distance from eye are focussed at different distances inside eye.. in astigmatism. So a person at a distance will appear fatter or thinner. Or, could appear taller or shorter.

It is called astigmatism and it can be corrected by using cylindrical lenses.
